estimo

Con il termine estimo si indica l'insieme formato dal metodo (metodo estimativo) e dai procedimenti attraverso i quali è possibile attribuire il valore espresso in moneta a determinate categorie di beni economici o di diritti reali. Ad essi appartengono i  beni immobili , i beni mobili e i diritti reali. I beni oggetto di studio dell'estimo sono caratterizzati spesso dalla irriproducibilità, il che rende molto difficile applicare ad essi la legge della domanda e dell'offerta relativa al mercato di libera concorrenza. Il valore del bene viene pertanto calcolato a tavolino e non sancito dal mercato.
