legal fictions are usually regarded as entities. In general, there is also no presumption that an entity is
animate. Entities are used in system developments as models that display communications and internal processing of, say, documents compared to order processing.

ontologischer Sammelbegriff, der alles Existierende bezeichnet. So werden
Gegenstände,
Eigenschaften, Prozesse usw. als Entitäten in einer Oberklasse zusammengefasst. Traditionell bezeichnet der Ausdruck das unspezifizierte Dasein von etwas, im Gegensatz zu
Quidditas, dem allgemeinen und
Haecceitas, dem individuellen Sosein von etwas.
