Electricity (from New Latin ēlectricus, "amberlike") is a general term for a variety of phenomena resulting from the presence and flow of electric charge. This includes many well-known physical phenomena such as lightning, electromagnetic fields and electric currents, and is put to use in industrial applications such as electronics and electric power. These related, but distinct, concepts are better identified by more precise terms:Electric field — an effect produced by an electrically charged object that exerts a force on other charged objects in its vicinity.Electric potential — the capacity of an electric field to do work, typically measured in volts (V).Electric current — a movement or flow of electrically charged particles, typically measured in amperes (A). L'électricité est l'interaction de particules chargées sous l'action de la force électromagnétique. Ce phénomène physique est présent dans de nombreux contextes: l'électricité constitue aussi bien l'influx nerveux des êtres vivants que les éclairs d'un orage. Elle est largement utilisée par les sociétés développées pour transporter de grandes quantités d'énergie facilement utilisable.

Elektrizität (von griechisch  elektron „Bernstein“) ist der Oberbegriff für alle Phänomene, die ihre Ursache entweder in ruhender elektrischer Ladung oder bewegter Ladung (Ströme) sowie deren elektrischen und magnetischen Feldern haben. Mittels Elektrizität wird elektrische Energie gewandelt. Die Träger der elektrischen Ladung sind negativ geladene Elektronen und Anionen und positiv geladene Protonen und Kationen. Gleichnamige Ladungen stoßen sich ab, ungleichnamige Ladungen ziehen einander an. Die Kraft, die auf Ladungen gleichen Vorzeichens wirkt, wird als Abstoßung bezeichnet, die Kraft auf Ladungen mit entgegengesetzten Vorzeichen als Anziehung. Wegen der Wechselwirkungskräfte kommt der Elektrizität auch eine Bedeutung als Energieträger zu. Elektrische Ladungen sind die Quellen des elektrischen Feldes, bewegte Ladungen die Ursache für magnetische Felder. Elektromagnetische Wellen (wie z. B. Licht) sind Erregungen des elektromagnetischen Feldes und können sich nach Entstehung unabhängig von Ladungsträgern im Raum (als Photonen) ausbreiten, d. h. fortbewegen, sie wechselwirken aber auch mit Materie.

Elektryczność (z gr.) to zdolność określonych cząstek subatomowych (na przykład elektronów i protonów) do wiązania się z polem elektromagnetycznym i istnieniem między nimi sił przyciągających i odpychających. Elektryczność daje energię jednej z czterech podstawowych sił natury i jest własnością magazynowania energii przez materię. W tym znaczeniu "ładunek elektryczny", "wartość ładunku" i "ilość elektryczności" mogą być używane zamiennie.

É il secondo e ultimo singolo estratto dall'album Lotus.Il brano racconta la storia di una ragazza italiana benestante che va a vivere a Buenos Aires contro il volere della famiglia per lavorare come ballerina. Racconta di suo padre che nonostante la figlia abbia voluto rompere i rapporti con lui continua a volerle bene e a preoccuparsi per lei.Il brano è stato riarrangiato in una versione più rock e inserito in Caterpillar, versione per il mercato estero di Soundtrack '96-'06, pubblicato nell'estate 2007.

Col termine elettricità si fa riferimento genericamente a tutti i fenomeni su scala macroscopica che coinvolgono una delle interazioni fondamentali, l'elettromagnetismo, con particolare riferimento all'elettrostatica. A livello microscopico tali fenomeni sono riconducibili all'interazione tra particelle cariche su scala molecolare: i protoni nel nucleo di atomi o molecole ionizzate, e gli elettroni. I tipici effetti macroscopici di tali interazioni sono le correnti elettriche e l'attrazione o repulsione di corpi elettricamente carichi.
