The Elgin, Joliet and Eastern Railway is a Class II railroad that operates in the suburbs surrounding Chicago. The railroad is a link between Class I railroads in northeast Illinois and northwest Indiana. Nicknames for the railroad include "The J" and "The Chicago Outer Belt Line". At the end of 1970 it operated 205 miles of road on 985 miles of track; in that year it carried 848 million ton-miles of revenue freight.

Umay (also known as Umai or Mai; in Old Turkic: ) is the goddess of fertility and virginity in Turkic mythology and Tengriism and as such related to women, mothers and children. Umay resembles earth-mother goddesses found in various other world religions. Literally in the Mongolian language, "eje" or "eej" means "mother." In Mongolian "Umai" means womb or uterus. The earth was considered a "mother" symbolically.

Eje (auch Aja oder Aya) war ein altägyptischer König (Pharao) der 18. Dynastie (Neues Reich), welcher etwa von 1323 bis 1319 v. Chr. (Helck: 1309–1305, Krauss: 1323–1319 v. Chr.) regierte. Seine Herkunft und der Beginn seiner Karriere sind unbekannt. Unter Echnaton war er ein hoher Hofbeamter. Nach dessen Tod war er vielleicht Wesir des Kindpharaos Tutanchamun und wurde später nach dessen frühem Tod als ein bereits betagter Würdenträger sein Nachfolger und damit ein ägyptischer Pharao.

Aj (Ay) (Eje) - faraon, władca starożytnego Egiptu. Prawdopodobnie panował w latach 1323-1319 p.n.e. Był synem Jujego i Czuju, a więc bratem królowej Teje. Niektórzy badacze uważają go również za ojca Nefertiti. Zaliczany jest do grona władców XVIII dynastii. Za panowania poprzednich władców Egiptu Amenhotepa IV, Semenechkare i Tutanchamona, Aj sprawował różne urzędy w administracji państwowej, m.in. był jednym z wezyrów, Komendantem wszystkich wierzchowców Jego Majestatu oraz Osobistym pisarzem króla. Po śmierci Tutanchamona dokonał ceremonii pogrzebowych i ogłosił się faraonem. Prawdopodobnie poślubił królową wdowę Anchesenamon, którą później rozkazał stracić. Usiłując nie dopuścić do małżeństwa Anchesenamon z jednym z synów króla Hetytów - Suppiluliumy I, rozkazał go zamordować. Spowodowało to długoletnie wojny z państwem Hetytów. Grobowiec Aj, znajdujący sie w Dolinie Królów został odkryty w 1816 roku przez Giovanni Battista Belzoni'ego. Aj wyznaczył na swojego następcę wodza egipskiego, Horemheba.
