Dice
A die (plural dice, from Old French dé, from Latin datum "something which is given or played") is a small throwable object with multiple resting positions, used for generating random numbers. This makes dice suitable as gambling devices for games like craps, or for use in non-gambling tabletop games.

Spielwürfel
Ein Spielwürfel (meist einfach Würfel genannt) ist ein Gegenstand, der nach einem Wurf auf einer waagerechten Ebene eine von mehreren unterscheidbaren stabilen Ruhelagen einnimmt und in vielen Spielen als Zufallsgenerator dient. Dazu trägt ein Würfel Symbole, von denen eines nach dem Wurf eine ausgezeichnete Lage einnimmt. Dieses Symbol zeigt dann das Ergebnis des Wurfes an.

Tärning
En tärning är ett vanligt spelredskap som används för att generera slumptal. Tärningar är ofta gjorda av plast eller trä, och formade som någon av de platonska kropparna med kuben som den absolut vanligaste typen. Fördelen med de platonska kropparna är att alla sidor blir lika stora och har därmed i princip lika stor chans att komma upp. På grund av att många tärningar har hål i sig, samt att man håller dem olika när man kastar så är sidan tärningen landar på inte helt slumpmässig. Sidorna numreras vanligen från 1 och uppåt.

Kosc do gry
Kości do gry – niewielkie wielościany z umieszczonymi na poszczególnych bokach liczbami (oczkami). Wykorzystuje się je w grach planszowych, fabularnych, bitewnych i hazardowych w celu generowania losowych wyników. Najczęściej spotykane są kości sześcienne.
Kości do gry wynaleziono już w starożytności. Najstarsze znaleziono w pochodzących z 2000 r. p.n.e. grobowcach egipskich. Wielką popularnością cieszyły się w imperium rzymskim i w epoce średniowiecza. Były one zarówno narzędziami hazardu, jak i przyrządami wróżbiarskimi. W XX wieku dzięki wynalezieniu tworzyw sztucznych pojawiło się wiele nowych typów kości o liczbie ścianek sięgającej od 4 do 100.
