ácido carboxílico. DHA es una abreviatura en inglés que significa Ácido-Docosa-Hexaenoico (Docosa-hexaenoic-acid). Es un ácido graso vital para el desarrollo y mantenimiento óptimo de la salud. Se encuentra en el aceite de los peces, aunque también se comercializa el aceite de algas unicelulares como la Crypthecodinium cohnii. Científicos de la
Universidad de California han encontrado que el consumo de este ácido detiene el deterioro que causa el
Alzheimer.
