Danzón
Danzón has been called the offical dance of Cuba, and evolved from the French-Haitian Contradance, brought to Cuba by Haitians fleeing the revolution of the late 1700s. Danzón is also widely popular in Mexico's Gulf Coast. Two of the most famous danzones are "Almendra" and "Tres Lindas Cubanas".
