D-Aminolevulinic acid
D-Aminolevulinic acid (dALA or δ-ALA or 5-aminolevulinic acid) is the first compound in the porphyrin synthesis pathway, the pathway that leads to hemoglobin in mammals. In non-photosynthetic eukaryotes such as animals, insects, fungi, and protozoa as well as the α-proteobacteria group of bacteria it is produced by the enzyme ALA synthase, from glycine and succinyl CoA. This reaction is known as the Shemin pathway. In plantsalgaebacteria (except for the α-proteobacteria group) and archaea it is produced from glutamic acid via glutamyl-tRNA and glutamate-1-semialdehyde. The enzymes involved in this pathway are glutamyl-tRNA synthetase, glutamyl-tRNA reductase and glutamate-1-semialdehyde aminotransferase. This pathway is known as the C5 or Beale pathway.

Dáil Éireann
This article is about the current Irish body. For the historical legislatures, see Dáil Éireann (Irish Republic) and Dáil Éireann (Irish Free State). Dáil Éireann (pronounced  English: House of Representatives of Ireland ) is the lower house of the Oireachtas (parliament) of Ireland. It is directly elected at least once in every five years under the system of proportional representation by means of the Single Transferable Vote (STV). Its powers are similar to those of lower houses under many other bicameral parliamentary systems and it is by far the dominant branch of the Oireachtas. It effectively has power to pass any law it wishes, and to nominate and remove the Taoiseach (head of government). Since 1922, it has met in Leinster House in Dublin.
