The +D (or Plus D) was a floppy disk and printer interface for the Sinclair ZX Spectrum home computer, developed as a successor to Miles Gordon Technology's earlier product, the DISCiPLE. It was designed to be smaller, cheaper, simpler and thus more reliable.

D* (pronounced "D star") is any one of the following three related incremental search algorithms:
- The original D*, by Anthony Stentz, is an informed incremental search algorithm.
- Focused D* is an informed incremental heuristic search algorithm by Anthony Stentz that combines ideas of A* and the original D*. Focused D* resulted from a further development of the original D*.
- D* Lite is an incremental heuristic search algorithm by Sven Koenig and Maxim Likhachev that builds on LPA*, an incremental heuristic search algorithm that combines ideas of A* and Dynamic SWSF-FP.

Damnation
Damnation (from Latin ) is the concept of everlasting divine punishment and/or disgrace, especially the punishment for sin as threatened by God (e.g. ). A damned being "in damnation" is said to be either in Hell, or living in a state wherein they are divorced from Heaven and/or in a state of disgrace from God's favor. Those Christians in purgatory, the "Church Suffering", are not considered damned, because their stay there is not eternal, while people who are damned to Hell will stay there eternally.

Emoticon
An emoticon is a pictorial representation of a facial expression using punctuation marks and letters, usually written to express a person's mood. Emoticons are often used to alert a responder to the tenor or temper of a statement, and can change and improve interpretation of plain text; emoticons for a smiley face :-) and sad face :-( appear in the first documented use in digital form. The word is a portmanteau word of the English words emotion and icon. In web forums, instant messengers and online games, text emoticons are often automatically replaced with small corresponding images, which came to be called emoticons as well. Certain complex character combinations can only be accomplished in a double-byte language, giving rise to especially complex forms, sometimes known by their romanized Japanese name of kaomoji.

Eth
Eth (Ð, ð; also spelled edh or eð) is a letter used in Old English, Icelandic, Faroese (in which it is called edd), and Elfdalian. It was also used in Scandinavia during the Middle Ages, but was subsequently replaced with dh and later d. Its use has survived in Iceland. The capital eth resembles a D with a line through the vertical stroke. The lower case resembles an insular d with a line through the top. The lower-case letter has been adopted to represent a voiced dental fricative in the IPA.

Ď ď ist ein Graphem der tschechischen und slowakischen Sprache. Es bezeichnet ein palatalisiertes d. Vereinfacht gesagt handelt es sich dabei um ein d mit unmittelbar folgendem angedeutetem j (stimmhafter palataler Plosiv, []). Folgt ein Vokal, so ist das j deutlicher. Das stimmlose Äquivalent bildet das Graphem Ť ť. Historisch entspricht ď dem polnischen dz und dem russischen дь.

D*-Algorithmus
Der D*-Algorithmus ist eine Erweiterung des A*-Algorithmus und somit ein direkter "Nachfahre" des Dijkstra-Algorithmus. Sowohl A* als auch der Dijkstra-Algorithmus sind in ihrer Grundform unflexibel und können auf Veränderungen im Graphen während oder nach der Expansion nicht reagieren. In beiden Fällen kann der Anwender alle Ergebnisse verwerfen und nochmal von vorne beginnen. Gerade bei Arbeiten mit Robotern oder Agenten unter realen Bedingungen (begrenzte Sensorreichweite, unbekannte Umgebung) kommt es vor, dass große Karten ständig aktualisiert werden.
Anthony Stentz entwickelte an der Carnegie Mellon University eine Möglichkeit A* so zu modifizieren, dass er mit den neuen Anforderungen funktioniert.

Don (Anrede)
Don (spanisch/italienisch) beziehungsweise Dom (portugiesisch) ist eine höfliche, respektvolle Anrede (aus dem lat.: dominus - Herr, Hausherr), die auch als Titel verwendet wird. Die weibliche Form ist Doña (span.), Donna (ital.) bzw. Dona (port.) (zu lat.: domina - Herrin, Hausherrin). Die Anrede wird entweder vor den Vornamen oder den kompletten Namen gesetzt, jedoch nicht nur vor den Nachnamen.

Emoticon
Als Emoticon werden Zeichenfolgen (aus normalen Satzzeichen) bezeichnet, die ein Smiley nachbilden, um in der schriftlichen elektronischen Kommunikation Stimmungs- und Gefühlszustände auszudrücken. Sie stammen aus der Zeit, in der die Kommunikation über das Internet vorwiegend über Texte geschah. Die Bezeichnung Emoticon ist eine Wortkreuzung, gebildet aus Emotion und Icon. Verwendet werden Emoticons etwa in Chaträumen, im Usenet und im E-Mail-Verkehr. Erkennen kann man sie am besten, indem man den Kopf um 90° nach links neigt.

Cyber-shot är en serie digitalkameror tillverkade av Sony sedan 1999, bland annat kända för sitt patentskyddade kamerabatteri InfoLitium, linser av varumärket Carl Zeiss samt för sin design. Alla Cyber-shotkameror har även stöd för Sonys minneskort, Memory Stick och Memory Stick PRO Duo. Vissa storsäljande modeller av Cyber-shot har även stöd för CompactFlash. Alla modeller har också ett prefix i sitt modellnamn, DSC och står för Digital Still Camera (sv. digital stillbildskamera).

Dr. Seuss
Theodor Seuss Geisel, född 2 mars 1904 i Springfield, Massachusetts, död 24 september 1991 i La Jolla, Kalifornien, var en amerikansk författare och tecknare. Mest känd blev han som barnboksförfattare under pseudonymen Dr. Seuss. Han skrev och illustrerade sammanlagt 44 barnböcker, däribland kända titlar som The Cat in the Hat (Katten i hatten), How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Green Eggs and Ham, som egentligen var resultatet av en vadslagning med hans kompis, och One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish och Horton hears a who. I engelskspråkiga länder hör han till de allra mest sålda barnboksförfattarna, även om han aldrig blivit speciellt stor i Sverige.

Don (tytulatura)
Don - tytuł grzecznościowy używany w Hiszpanii, Włoszech oraz Portugalii (dom), tylko w połączeniu z imieniem. W średniowieczu używali go członkowie rodziny królewskiej oraz książęta, z czasem rozszerzony na szlachtę i duchowieństwo. Od lat 20. XX wieku jest używany także przez głowy włoskich rodzin mafijnych (zobacz Don (mafia)). Tytuł ten przyjmuje formę żeńską, w języku hiszpańskim doña, włoskim donna i potrugalskim dona.

Emotikon
Emotikon (ang. emoticon), uśmieszek (smile, smiley), buźka to złożony ze znaków ASCII wyraz nastroju, używany oraz nadużywany przez użytkowników Internetu. Najczęściej przedstawia symboliczny ludzki grymas twarzy, obrócony o 90° w kierunku przeciwnym do wskazówek zegara, w licznych wariantach. Niektóre programy jak np. Microsoft Word czy Gadu-Gadu zamieniają wpisane znaki na buźkę odwróconą o 90°. Niektóre programy służące do komunikacji automatycznie zmieniają emotikony na ich graficzny odpowiednik. W języku polskim rozpowszechniła się także forma żeńska tego wyrazu - emotikona, emotka, emotikonka.

RuneScape
RuneScape jest grą typu MMORPG, której akcja dzieje się w świecie fantasy. Została stworzona przez firmę Jagex Ltd., produkującą gry On-line. Możliwa jest gra za darmo, oraz wersja płatna (ok. 5 dolarów miesięcznie). Wersja płatna wzbogaca grę w nowe możliwości (nowe bronie, lokacje, umiejętności). Uaktualnienia pojawiają się średnio raz na tydzień (w wersji płatnej)/ lub raz na kilka tygodni (w wersji darmowej). Darmowa część gry nazywana jest w skrócie f2p (z ang. free to play), płatna (członkowska, ang. Members) - p2p (z ang. pay to play), . Prowadzone są rankingi 1 000 000 najlepszych graczy - osobne dla każdej umiejętności, oraz jeden ogólny. Łącznie w RuneScape na wszystkich serwerach gra ok. 100000 osób na raz. Gra w tej chwili możliwa jest wyłącznie po angielsku i niemiecku.
