Cristina D'Avena
Cristina D'Avena (born July 6, 1964 in Bologna) is an Italian singer and actress. She sings for television and animation series, and has recorded numerous albums, selling nearly 6 million copies. D'Avena is well known among Italian anime fans for performing theme songs to dozens of Italian dubs of Japanese animated TV series. In all, she has sung nearly 120 anime themes, including theme songs for Sailor Moon, Wedding Peach, Pokemon, Ace o Nerae!, Touch, Ai Shite Knight, Attack No. 1, One Piece, Candy Candy, Kodocha, Magic Knight Rayearth, Dr. Slump, , Himitsu no Akko-chan, Little Women, Kimagure Orange Road, Attacker You!, Glass Mask, CardCaptor Sakura and Rose of Versailles. The dubbed Italian songs she sings usually are not covers of the Japanese songs but tend to be newly written songs for the Italian dub of the animes. For the Italian dub of Mahou no Tenshi Creamy Mami, D'Avena, in addition to performing the theme songs, also dubbed the singing voices of both Creamy Mami and her rival Megumi Ayase.
