Le terme cusp est un terme mathématique anglais recouvrant plusieurs notions distinctes. Parfois employé tel quel dans les textes mathématiques français, il reçoit officiellement les traductions suivantes:

• point de rebroussement, pour désigner un type particulier de point singulier sur une courbe, où celle-ci possède une seule demi-tangente en ce point. L'exemple classique est celui du point (0, 0) sur la courbe
• pointe, lorsqu'il s'agit d'un sommet situé sur l'axe réel du polygone fondamental pour l'action de certains groupes de transformations, par exemple le groupe modulaire, sur le demi-plan de Poincaré.
• l'expression cusp form est traduite par forme parabolique (parfois cuspidale)
