COYOTE, or Call Off Your Old Tired Ethics, is a sex worker activist organization. COYOTE's goals include the decriminalization (as opposed to the legalization) of prostitution, pimping and pandering, as well as the elimination of social stigma concerning sex work as an occupation. Though it is frequently described as a prostitutes' rights group, COYOTE's mission includes advocating for all varieties sex workers of all genders, including strippers, phone sex operators and adult film performers. COYOTE provides counseling and legal referrals for sex workers, and assistance in leaving sex work for different careers.

The coyote (Canis latrans) also known as the prairie wolf [1]) is a mammal of the order carnivora. They are found throughout North and Central America, ranging from Panama in the south, north through Mexico, the United States, and Canada. They occur as far north as Alaska and all but the most northern portions of Canada. There are currently 19 recognized subspecies, with 16 in Canada, Mexico and the United States, and 3 in Central America.

Peter Coyote (* 10. Oktober 1942 als Robert Peter Cohon in Manhattan, New York City) ist ein US-amerikanischer Schauspieler.Coyote lebte seit Mitte der 1960er Jahre als Hippie in der amerikanischer Subkulturbewegung und wurde erst im Alter von 39 Jahren Schauspieler. Eine seiner ersten Rolle war in Steven Spielbergs Klassiker E.T. 1982. 1987 drehte er "Leidenschaftliche Begegnung" (A Man in Love), mit Greta Scacchi, Jamie Lee Curtis, Claudia Cardinale. Einer seiner besten Filme war Bitter Moon von Roman Polanski 1992. Er spielte auch in Verhängnisvolle Vergangenheit, produziert 1999 und in Phenomenon II – Ein wunderbares Genie, produziert 2003.
