country

In political geography and international politics, a country is a political division of a geographical entity, a sovereign territory, most commonly associated with the notions of state or nation and government. In common usage, the term is used casually in the sense of both "nation" (a cultural entity; see below) and "state" (a political entity; see below). Definitions may vary. It is sometimes used to refer to both states and some other political entities., while in some occasions it refers only to state. It is not uncommon for general information or statistical publications to adopt the wider definition for purposes such as illustration and comparison.

La musique country, ou country (autrefois « country and western ») est un style de musique américain né dans les Appalaches au et dans le pays profond, du Texas jusqu'en Virginie-Occidentale. Rythmique ou traînante, sentimentale ou émouvante, la country vient des musiques folkloriques celtes des immigrés anglo-saxons. Cette musique, avec le blues et le rhythm and blues noirs, a fortement contribué au développement du rock.

Pays vient du latin pagus qui désignait une subdivision territoriale et tribale d'étendue restreinte (de l'ordre de quelques centaines de km²), subdivision de la civitas gallo-romaine. Comme la civitas qui subsiste le plus souvent sous forme de comté ou d’évêché, le pagus subsiste au Moyen Âge.

En France, un pays peut désigner un territoire de projet caractérisé par une cohésion géographique, économique, culturelle ou sociale, pour le développement de contrats de pays au sens de la , dite loi Pasqua ou LOADT (Loi d'Orientation pour l'Aménagement et le Développement du Territoire). Le découpage et l'échelle des territoires de projet sont proches et parfois inspirés des pays traditionnels ou régions naturelles de France.

Country-Musik [] ist eine aus den USA stammende Musikrichtung, die Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts aus traditionellen Elementen der Volksmusik der europäischen Zuwanderervölker – insbesondere aus Irland und England – hervorging. Die ursprünglich in den südlichen Appalachen beheimatete Hillbilly-Musik entwickelte sich durch urbane Einflüsse und Übernahme von Elementen anderer Musik-Genres – wie etwa dem Blues – zur heutigen Country-Musik.

Muzyka country, country and western music - odmiana muzyki rozrywkowej, powstała w USA w pierwszym dziesięcioleciu XX wieku z połączenia folku i bluesa.Pierwotnie prosta, oparta na trzyakordowym schemacie i instrumentarium składającym się z  akustycznej gitary, skrzypiec i prostego  zestawu perkusyjnego, wywodziła się z ortodoksyjnego folku z Appalachów. Z czasem wypracowała bardziej złożone instrumentarium, a jej forma stała się bardziej wyrafinowana. Zaczęła ulegać wpływom innych gatunków muzyki rozrywkowej takich jak: jazz, rock and roll, (który początkowo wiele czerpał z jej doświadczeń), rock i pop.

Si sviluppa grazie agli influssi della musica tradizionale sudista (caratterizzata da Violino e Banjo, anche chiamata Old Time Music), dal blues, dai tradizionali Duos, gruppi musicali formati da fratelli (e caratterizzati dalla presenza di chitarra, mandolino e di una affascinante affinità vocale) ed dalla musica celtica degli immigrati anglo-irlandesi.
