Country
A country is a region legally identified as a distinct entity in political geography. A country may be an independent sovereign state or one that is occupied by another state, as a non-sovereign or formerly sovereign political division, or a geographic region associated with sets of previously independent or differently associated peoples with distinct political characteristics. Regardless of the physical geography, in the modern internationally accepted legal definition as defined by the League of Nations in 1937 and reaffirmed by the United Nations in 1945, a resident of a country is subject to the independent exercise of legal jurisdiction.

Country-Musik
Country-Musik [] ist eine aus den USA stammende Musikrichtung, die Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts aus traditionellen Elementen der Volksmusik der europäischen Zuwanderervölker – insbesondere aus Irland und England – hervorging. Die ursprünglich in den südlichen Appalachen beheimatete Old-Time Music entwickelte sich durch urbane Einflüsse und Übernahme von Elementen anderer Musik-Genres – wie etwa dem Blues – zur heutigen Country-Musik.

Musique country
La musique country, ou country (autrefois « country and western ») est un style de musique américain né dans les Appalaches au et dans le pays profond, du Texas jusqu'en Virginie-Occidentale. Rythmique ou traînante, sentimentale ou émouvante, la country vient des musiques folkloriques celtes des immigrés anglo-saxons. Cette musique, avec le blues et le rhythm and blues noirs, a fortement contribué au développement du rock.

Pays
Pays vient du latin pagus qui désignait une subdivision territoriale et tribale d'étendue restreinte (de l'ordre de quelques centaines de km²), subdivision de la civitas gallo-romaine. Comme la civitas qui subsiste le plus souvent sous forme de comté ou d’évêché, le pagus subsiste au Moyen Âge.

Pays (aménagement du territoire)
En France, un pays peut désigner un territoire de projet caractérisé par une cohésion géographique, économique, culturelle ou sociale, pour le développement de contrats de pays au sens de la , dite loi Pasqua ou LOADT (Loi d'Orientation pour l'Aménagement et le Développement du Territoire). Le découpage et l'échelle des territoires de projet sont proches et parfois inspirés des pays traditionnels ou régions naturelles de France.

Countrymusik
Countrymusik, country, country and western, är en samlingsterm för flera musikgenrer med ursprung i folkmusiken i Sydstaterna i USA och i Appalacherna, samt i brittisk och irländsk spelmanskultur, liksom i spiritual och blues. Den moderna countrymusiken har från mitten av 1900-talet närmat sig pop- och rockmusikenen, främst genom användandet av trummor samt bytet från akustisk gitarr till elgitarr. Termen countrymusik blev vanlig under 1940-talet, och började då ersätta den tidigare termen Hillbillymusik. Termen countrymusik blev allmänt erkänd under 1970-talet, medan termen country and western sedan dess blivit allt mindre vanlig, även om den fortfarande ofta används i Storbritannien.

Land
Ett land är ett landområde som utgör, eller har utgjort, en självständig eller självstyrande politisk enhet. Detta behöver dock inte betyda att landet utgör en egen självständig stat (vilket är vanligt i vardagligt tal) utan det kan ingå i ett större rike.

Land har flera betydelser:
- Land, område som utgör stat, nation eller separat politisk enhet.
- Fast mark, i motsats till hav eller insjö.
- -land, ett ortnamnsefterled
- Land (tidskrift) organ för Lantbrukarnas Riksförbund, som utges i två versioner – en konsumentinriktad och en branschinriktiad.
- Landet, förenklat begrepp för landsbygd.
- Mark som används för någon form av jordbruk, t.ex. potatisland.

Land (tidskrift)
Land är en tidning med veckoutgivning som främst berör ämnen med anknytning till livet på landsbygden. Tidningen är en familjetidning som vänder sig till både kvinnor och män och skriver om hus och trädgård, hälsa och medicin, djur och natur, jakt och fiske, mat, resor, kultur, teknik, motor och människor. Upplagan på 229 000 ex/vecka gör tidningen Land till en av Sveriges största tidningar.

Muzyka country
Muzyka country, country and western music - odmiana muzyki rozrywkowej, powstała w USA w pierwszym dziesięcioleciu XX wieku z połączenia folku i bluesa.
Pierwotnie prosta, oparta na trzyakordowym schemacie i instrumentarium składającym się z akustycznej gitary, skrzypiec i prostego zestawu perkusyjnego, wywodziła się z ortodoksyjnego folku z Appalachów. Z czasem wypracowała bardziej złożone instrumentarium, a jej forma stała się bardziej wyrafinowana. Zaczęła ulegać wpływom innych gatunków muzyki rozrywkowej takich jak: jazz, rock and roll, (który początkowo wiele czerpał z jej doświadczeń), rock i pop.
