Chalcocite
Chalcocite, copper(I) sulfide (Cu2S), is an important copper ore mineral. It is opaque, being colored dark-gray to black with a metallic luster. It has a hardness of 2½ - 3. It is a sulfide with an orthorhombic crystal system.

Chalkosin
Chalkosin, auch veraltet als Kupferglanz, Kupferglas oder Graukupfererz bekannt, ist ein häufig vorkommendes Mineral aus der Mineralklasse der Sulfide und Sulfosalze mit dem Stoffmengenverhältnis Metall : Schwefel,Selen,Tellur > 1 : 1. Es kristallisiert im monoklinen Kristallsystem mit der chemischen Zusammensetzung Cu2S und entwickelt meist prismatische oder tafelförmige Kristalle, aber auch körnige bis massige Aggregate in schwarzer bis grauer Farbe. Es treten auch pseudohexagonale Kristalle auf.
