Control charts, also known as Shewhart charts or process-behaviour charts, in statistical process control are tools used to determine whether a manufacturing or business process is in a state of statistical control.

Die Qualitätsregelkarte (QRK) oder kurz Regelkarte (engl. „[quality] control chart“, wobei „chart“ eigentlich nicht „Karte“, sondern vielmehr „Schaubild“ oder „Datenblatt“ bedeutet) wird im Qualitätsmanagement zur Auswertung von Prüfdaten eingesetzt. Auf ihr werden statistische Stichprobenkennwerte (z. B. Stichprobenmittelwert und Stichprobenstandardabweichung eines Werkstückmaßes) grafisch dargestellt. Auf Qualitätsregelkarten sind Warn- und Eingriffsgrenzen eingezeichnet.

Une carte de contrôle est un outil permettant de déterminer le moment où apparaît une cause assignable entraînant une dérive du processus de fabrication. Ainsi, le processus sera arrêté au bon moment, c’est-à-dire avant qu'il ne produise des pièces non conformes (hors de l'intervalle de tolérance).
