Con el nombre de constructivismo se denominan distintas corrientes surgidas en el arte, la filosofía, la psicología, la pedagogía y las ciencias sociales en general.En arte se denomina constructivismo a un movimiento artístico de origen ruso.En filosofía de la ciencia (epistemología) se denomina constructivismo a una corriente de pensamiento surgida a mediados del siglo XX, de la mano de investigadores de disciplinas muy diversas (psiquiatras, físicos, matemáticos, biólogos, etc.).
