Conferencia es el acto de:
- Plática entre dos o más personas para tratar de algún punto o negocio.
- Disertación en público sobre algún punto doctrinal.
- Reunión de representantes de Gobiernos o Estados, de comunidades eclesiásticas y de agrupaciones de otra índole, para tratar asuntos de su competencia.
- Comunicación telefónica interurbana o internacional.
- En algunas universidades o estudios, lección que llevaban los estudiantes cada día.
