Commerce is a division of trade or production which deals with the exchange of goods and services from producer to final consumer. It comprises the trading of something of economic value such as goods, services, information or money between two or more entities. Commerce functions as the central mechanism which drives capitalism and certain other economic systems (but compare command economy, for example). Commercialization or commercialisation consists of the process of transforming something into a product, service or activity which one may then use in commerce.

Le commerce est l'activité principale d'échange des biens et des services entre les êtres humains. Par extension, le terme est utilisé pour désigner le lieu ou l'organisation où s'exerce cette activité tel qu'un magasin. Le commerce couvre l'ensemble des transactions entre individus, entre organisations ou entre individus et organisations, les individus pouvant représenter des associations, des firmes ou des entreprises. Il complète l'activité de production en permettant de rémunérer la fourniture d'un bien ou d'un service, principalement par le recours à la monnaie.

Georg Friedrich Händel (* 23. Februar 1685 in Halle (Saale); † 14. April 1759 in London) war ein deutsch-englischer Komponist im Zeitalter der Aufklärung, der vor allem durch seine zahlreichen Opern und Oratorien zu großer Berühmtheit gelangte. Zu seinem Hauptwerk zählen rund 40 Opern und 25 Oratorien, darunter auch das Oratorium The Messiah (Der Messias) mit dem weltberühmten Halleluja-Chor. Händel hat in allen musikalischen Gattungen seiner Zeit Kompositionen hinterlassen.

Unter Handel versteht man das Anbieten von Waren gegen Zahlungsmittel (Geld) oder andere Waren (Tauschhandel). Das davon abgeleitete Verb handeln bedeutet (eingeschränkt) „feilschen“ (andere Wortbedeutung siehe Handeln).
