COMETA
COMETA were a
French non-profit organization composed by high ranking officers and officials, some having held commanding posts in the armed forces and aerospace industry, responsible for the 'COMETA Report' (1999) on
UFOs and their possible implications for defense in France. The 'COMETA Report' was not sollicited at all by the French gouvernement (it was just sent to the French president by usual mailing, like any citizen can do it), so it isn't a government responses to UFOs. It's just the work of a non-profit organization ufological group like others. It's a
French tabloid called VSD who said it was an official report in order sell more of his issue. Claude Maugé wrote about this: By letter dated 23 February General Bastien, of the Special Staff of the President of the Republic, wrote: “To answer your question, this ‘report’ compiled by members of an association organized under the law of 1901 (ruling most non-commercial private associations in France) did not respond to any official request and does not have any special status..

Los cometas (del
latín cometa y el
griego kometes, "cabellera"), junto con los
asteroides,
planetas y
satélites, forman parte del
Sistema Solar.
