The Covenant of the Goddess (sometimes abbreviated CoG) is one of the oldest and largest cross-traditional groups among Wiccans. It was incoproated on October 31, 1975 (Samhain or Halloween), as a non-profit religious organisation in California and has grown to become an international organisation, and is currently composed of over one hundred Wiccan covens, plus solitary elders and associates. The aim of the group is to increase co-operation Witches and to secure for Witches and covens the legal protection enjoyed by members of other religions. Member covens must generally focus theology and ritual, etc., around the worship of the Goddess and the Old Gods (or the Goddess alone), which is general practice within Wicca. The group, which maintains strict autonomy for all members, operates largely by consensus.

Cog est un projet de recherche du Groupe Robotique Humanoïde HRG du Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Cette recherche se base sur l'hypothèse qu'une intelligence d'un niveau humain nécessite l'accumulation de l'expérience de l'interaction avec des humains, comme le font les enfants sur une longue période de temps. Comme le comportement que Cog cherche a construire doit être approprié et social, le robot doit évoluer et apprendre dans un milieu sain dans lequel il recevra des stimuli et progressivement pourra également se comporter comme un humain dans un contexte défini. Cog est un projet de réplication du comportement humain, avec un apprentissage entièrement social, comme le font les humains.
