CoFFEE is an open source software for computer supported collaborative learning (CSCL) in a digital classroom. Unlike most CSCL envirmonments, CoFFEE is not designed for and indeed does not currently support distance learning, but is rather focused on facilitating group interaction within the classroom.

Coffee is a brewed beverage with a bitter flavor prepared from the roasted seeds of the coffee plant. The beans are found in coffee cherries, which grow on trees cultivated in over 70 countries, primarily in equatorial Latin America, Southeast Asia, South Asia and Africa. Green (unroasted) coffee is one of the most traded agricultural commodities in the world. Coffee can have a stimulating effect on humans due to its caffeine content. It is one of the most-consumed beverages in the world.

Kaffee [] (türk. kahve aus arab.  qahwa) ist ein schwarzes, coffeinhaltiges Heißgetränk, das aus gerösteten (Röstkaffee) und gemahlenen Kaffeebohnen hergestellt wird. Röst- und Mahlgrad variieren je nach Zubereitungsart. Kaffee enthält das Vitamin Niacin. Die Bezeichnung Bohnenkaffee bedeutet nicht, dass der Kaffee noch ungemahlen ist, sondern bezieht sich auf den Ursprungszustand und dient der Unterscheidung von sogenanntem Ersatzkaffee (aus Zichorien, Gerstenmalz usw.). Die Vorsilbe „Bohnen“ leitet sich von dem arabischen Wort (bun) für ungemahlenen, nicht zubereiteten Kaffee ab.
