Coca is a plant in the family Erythroxylaceae, native to north-western South America. The plant plays a significant role in traditional Andean culture. It is used by Andean cultures such as the Chibcha family of Colombia and Quechua family of Peru as a messenger from the Gods, but is best known in most of the world for the stimulant drug cocaine that is chemically extracted from its new fresh leaf tips in a similar fashion to tea bush harvesting. Unprocessed coca leaves are also commonly used in the Andean countries to make a herbal tea with mild stimulant effects similar to strong coffee.

Coheed and Cambria is a progressive rock band from Nyack, New York and Kingston, New York. Coheed and Cambria have released four studio albums, two live albums, and various special-edition re-releases. Their albums are concept albums, revealing the plot of an overarching storyline, The Amory Wars. The band plans to release a total of five albums describing the saga The Amory Wars. To date, four studio albums have been released: The Second Stage Turbine Blade (2002), In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3 (2003), Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV, Volume One: From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness (2005), and Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV, Volume Two: No World for Tomorrow  (2007). These albums make up the second, third, and half of the fourth part of the four-part saga of Coheed and Cambria, respectively. The albums are being released out of sequence; the second part was released first, and the first part will be released last.

Le ou la coca est une plante d'Amérique du Sud de la famille des Érythroxylacées. Elle joue un rôle important dans la culture andine, à travers ses utilisations rituelles ou médicinales. La cocaïne est extraite de ses feuilles. Les dictionnaires sont partagés sur le genre du nom de l'arbuste mais s'entendent pour dénommer « la » coca la substance à mâcher qu'il fournit. Elle est appelée mama inala en langue Quechua.

Le groupe est actif depuis 1995, même s'ils n'ont portés le nom de Coheed and Cambria qu'à partir de 2001, au moment où le batteur Nate Kelley quitte le groupe. Coheed and Cambria ist eine 2001 gegründete New Yorker Progressive-Rock-Band, deren Alben eine vierteilige Sciencefiction-Saga um das Ehepaar Coheed und Cambria Killgannon erzählen. Vorher war die Gruppe unter dem Namen Shabutie bekannt (1995 bis 2001).2006 sind Drummer Eppard und Bassist Todd aus persönlichen Gründen aus der Band ausgestiegen. Als Nachfolger werden bis dato am Bass Matt Williams (ehem. Jumblehead) und am Schlagzeug Chris Pennie (The Dillinger Escape Plan) genannt. Sänger Sanchez und Gitarrist Stever sehen dies als Neuanfang.Am 25. April 2007 kehrte Ex-Bassist Michael Todd, gerade noch rechtzeitig zu den Studio-Aufnahmen für das neue Album, offiziell zur Band zurück.

La coca (Erythroxylum coca) è una pianta della famiglia delle Erythroxylaceae originaria delle regioni tropicali centro e nord-occidentali dell'America del Sud. Si tratta di un arbusto o piccolo albero di 4-5 metri d'altezza, con foglie alterne di un verde intenso. I piccoli fiori bianchi producono una drupa rossastra contenente un solo seme.
