Chromium
Chromium (IPA: ) is a chemical element in the periodic table that has the symbol Cr and atomic number 24. It is a steel-gray, lustrous, hard metal that takes a high polish and has a high melting point. It is also odourless, tasteless, and malleable.

Chromium
(n.)
A comparatively rare element occurring most abundantly in the mineral chromite. Atomic weight 52.5. Symbol Cr. When isolated it is a hard, brittle, grayish white metal, fusible with difficulty. Its chief commercial importance is for its compounds, as potassium chromate, lead chromate, etc., which are brilliantly colored and are used dyeing and calico printing. Called also chrome.

Chromium
atomic symbol, Cr, chromium is the 24th element in the periodic table (atomic number 24) with an atomic weight of 52.00. A group VI metal, chromium has seen some use as a barrier metal in backside metal and under solder bumps. IBM in particular has made a large number of solder bumps with chromium barrier metal.
