Cheat! is a TV show on G4 (formerly G4techTV) that provides cheat codes, strategies, and other hidden features for video games. The show is hosted by Kristin Adams (née Holt), who replaced original host Cory Rouse in January 2005. After a nearly 18-month hiatus, new episodes of Cheat! began airing in December 2008. Cheat! last aired February 19, 2009 on G4.

Cheating refers to an immoral way of achieving a goal. It is generally used for the breaking of rules to gain advantage in a competitive situation. The rules infringed may be explicit, or they may be from an unwritten code of conduct based on morality, ethics or custom, making the identification of cheating a subjective process. Cheating can refer specifically to marital infidelity. Someone who is known for cheating is referred to as a cheat in British English, and a cheater in American English.

Als Cheat (englisch für Betrug, Schwindel) wird die Möglichkeit bezeichnet, in einem Computerspiel selbst oder durch externe Programme den Spielverlauf in einer nicht dem gewöhnlichen Verlauf entsprechenden Weise zu beeinflussen. Es handelt sich dabei beispielsweise um Tricks, mit denen für manche Spieler zu schwere Abschnitte eines Levels übersprungen werden können. Aber auch das Verschaffen von zum Beispiel unendlicher Lebensenergie, mehr Munition oder weiteren Einheiten werden meist von Cheats abgedeckt. In der Regel sind diese Funktionen zu Testzwecken für die Entwicklungsphase des Spiels einprogrammiert.

• Cheaty wbudowane w grę i przewidziane przez jej twórców (przykładem może być wpisanie sekwencji IDDQD podczas gry w Quake 1, co powoduje włączenie nieśmiertelności bohatera)
• Cheaty dostępne poprzez korzystanie z konsoli developerskiej (przykładowo, wpisanie timescale 0.5 w konsoli w trybie jednoosobowym gry Quake 3 Arena spowoduje spowolnienie gry o połowę)
• Ingerencja w strukturę gry - na przykład modyfikacja pamięci używanej przez działającą grę lub modyfikacja gier zapisanych na dysku.
• Sztuczne ułatwienie gry poprzez równoległe stosowanie odpowiednich narzędzi (na przykład silnych programów szachowych podczas rozgrywki z przeciwnikiem przez internet)

Ściąganie – sposób oszukiwania podczas zdawania wszelkiego rodzaju egzaminów i testów (klasówki, kolokwia) stosowany przez osobę uczącą się (student, uczeń). Inaczej definiując jest to stosowanie niedozwolonej pomocy lub zamiar jej użycia, będący próbą (udaną lub nie) ominięcia kontroli wyników nauczania, która jest w sprzeczności z regulaminem i celami wychowawczymi szkoły oraz regułami przeprowadzania egzaminu, kolokwium czy sprawdzianu.
