Castello
Castello ist der größte der sechs Stadtteile (Sestieri) der italienischen Lagunenstadt Venedig. Er liegt im nordöstlichen Teil der Stadt und reicht fast bis zum Markusplatz. Der Name Castello leitet sich von der antiken, befestigten Residenz des Bischofs von Olivolo, die sich auf der gleichnamigen Insel befand, ab. Heute erinnert auf der Insel, die jetzt San Pietro di Castello heißt, nur mehr das Fondamenta di Castel Olivolo an die antike Heimstatt der venezianischen Bischöfe.

Castellón de la Plana
Castellón de la Plana (spanische Bezeichnung; valencianisch Castelló de la Plana, beide Fassungen sind amtlich) ist eine Stadt in Spanien mit ca. 180.000 Einwohnern (2009), die in der Autonomen Region Valencia liegt. Castellón ist die Hauptstadt der gleichnamigen Provinz.

Il castello è un complesso composto di uno o più edifici fortificati, tipico del Medioevo, costruito per ospitare una guarnigione di soldati, con il loro comandante (il castellano) e i suoi familiari. Esso sorge solitamente in un luogo strategico, in posizione elevata e facilmente difendibile.

Castello
Castello is de grootste van de zes sestieri van Venetië. Het stadsdeel ligt in het noordoosten van de stad en grenst aan San Marco in het westen en Cannaregio in het noorden. Het district kwam omstreeks de dertiende eeuw tot bloei rond een scheepswerf op het toenmalige eiland Isole Gemini, hoewel er sinds achtste eeuw al een nederzetting was op het naburige eiland San Pietro di Castello, waar de sestiere naar is vernoemd. De naam van dat eiland verwijst naar een fort (=castello in het Venetiaanse dialect van het Italiaans) dat hier mogelijk in de zesde eeuw werd gebouwd. De oorspronkelijke naam van het eiland is Isola D'Olivo.
