Cantate
Une cantate (de l'
italien"cantata" participe passé substantivé du verbe "cantare", "chanter") est une composition vocale et instrumentale qui comporte plusieurs morceaux. Elle porte généralement sur un thème qui peut être profane (cantata da camera) ou sacré (cantata da chiesa), mais à la différence de l'opéra, elle ne comporte aucun aspect théâtral.
