Candela
The candela ( or ; symbol: cd) is the SI base unit of luminous intensity; that is, power emitted by a light source in a particular direction, weighted by the luminosity function (a standardized model of the sensitivity of the human eye to different wavelengths, also known as the luminous efficiency function). A common candle emits light with a luminous intensity of roughly one candela. If emission in some directions is blocked by an opaque barrier, the emission would still be approximately one candela in the directions that are not obscured.

Candela [] (lateinisch für Talg-, Wachslicht) ist die SI-Basiseinheit der Lichtstärke, das heißt des Lichtstroms pro Raumwinkeleinheit (Steradiant, sr), gemessen in großer Entfernung von der Lichtquelle.

Candela
La candela est l'unité de mesure du système international d'unités (SI) de l'intensité lumineuse, c'est-à-dire de l'éclat perçu par l'œil humain d'une source lumineuse. Elle a remplacé l'ancienne unité d'intensité lumineuse la bougie. La candela (symbole cd, du mot latin qui signifie chandelle), est une des sept unités de base du système international.

Kandela
Kandela (z łac. candela - świeca) – jednostka natężenia źródła światła; jednostka podstawowa w układzie SI, oznaczana cd.
Jest to światłość, z jaką świeci w określonym kierunku źródło emitujące promieniowanie monochromatyczne o częstotliwości 540·1012 Hz, i którego natężenie w tym kierunku jest równe (1/683) W/sr.
Dawniej definiowana jako światłość 1/600000 m² ciała doskonale czarnego w temperaturze krzepnięcia platyny pod ciśnieniem 1 atmosfery fizycznej. Kandela została wprowadzona w roku 1958 przez Międzynarodowy Komitet Metrologii Ustawodawczej.
