Begging
Begging is the present participle of the verb 'beg.' To beg is to entreat earnestly, implore, or supplicate. It often occurs for the purpose of securing a material benefit, generally for a gift, donation or charitable donation. When done in the context of a public place, it is known as "panhandling", perhaps because the hand and arm are extended like the handle of a cooking implement, and not infrequently, a kitchen implement such as a pot or cup may be used.

Tiggeri kallas det när en eller flera personer med hjälp av ord eller till exempel kroppshållning ber om monetärt eller annat bidrag från en främling. Tidigare benämndes det också "bettleri" och det som gavs kallades allmosa.

Zebranie
Żebranie to wykroczenie polegające na proszeniu w miejscu publicznym o dobrowolne wsparcie, pomimo posiadania środków egzystencji lub zachowania zdolności do pracy.
Kwalifikowany typ wykroczenia stanowi żebranie w sposób oszukańczy lub natarczywy. Natarczywość zachowania przejawia się w zaczepianiu i nagabywaniu przechodniów, uniemożliwianiu im przejścia w celu otrzymania datku. Pod tym pojęciem mieści się również kierowanie wulgaryzmów pod adresem osób, które nie ofiarowały jałmużny. Sposób oszukańczy to wprowadzanie w błąd przechodniów w celu wzbudzenia w nich litości. Zabiegi te mogą polegać na żebraniu w grupie dzieci, symulowaniu kalectwa, umieszczaniu fałszywej informacji o ciężkim stanie zdrowia.
