Webbrowser
Webbrowser, oder allgemein auch Browser ([], engl. ‚schmökern, umsehen‘, auch ‚abgrasen‘) sind spezielle Computerprogramme zum Betrachten von Webseiten im World Wide Web oder allgemein von Dokumenten und Daten. Das Durchstöbern des World Wide Webs beziehungsweise das aufeinanderfolgende Abrufen beliebiger Hyperlinks als Verbindung zwischen Webseiten mit Hilfe solch eines Programms wird auch als Internetsurfen bezeichnet. Neben HTML-Seiten können Webbrowser verschiedene andere Arten von Dokumenten anzeigen. Webbrowser stellen die Benutzeroberfläche für Webanwendungen dar.

Navigateur web
Un navigateur web est un logiciel conçu pour consulter le World Wide Web. Techniquement, c'est au minimum un client HTTP. Le terme navigateur web (ou navigateur Internet) est inspiré de Netscape Navigator. D'autres métaphores sont ou ont été utilisées. Le premier terme utilisé était browser, comme en anglais. Par la suite, on a vu fureteur (surtout utilisé au Québec), butineur, brouteur, arpenteur, fouineur ou explorateur (inspiré de Microsoft Internet Explorer).

Browser
Un browser web (in italiano: navigatore) è un programma che consente agli utenti di visualizzare e interagire con testi, immagini e altre informazioni, tipicamente contenute in una pagina web di un sito (o all'interno di una rete locale).
Il browser è in grado di interpretare il codice HTML (e più recentemente XHTML) e visualizzarlo in forma di ipertesto. L'HTML è il codice col quale la maggioranza delle pagine web nel mondo sono composte: il web browser consente perciò la navigazione nel web.
I browser solitamente vengono utilizzati su personal computer, ma non mancano altri dispositivi in grado di effettuare la navigazione con un browser, tra cui i palmari e gli smartphone.
