biohazard

BioHazard is a combat robot built by Carlo Bertocchini. It was the most successful robot in the heavyweight division of BattleBots. It originally competed in the U.S. Robot Wars where it won 2 heavyweight division titles. It went on to win 4 BattleBots championships. BioHazard's weapon is an electric four-bar lifting arm (technically, an asymmetric linear actuator) used to lift other robots. BioHazard initially retired in 2002 with a record of 34 head-to-head wins and three losses.

A biological hazard or biohazard is an organism, or substance derived from an organism, that poses a threat to (primarily) human health. This can include medical waste, samples of a microorganism, virus or toxin (from a biological source) that can impact human health. It can also include substances harmful to animals. The term and its associated symbol is generally used as a warning, so that those potentially exposed to the substances will know to take precautions. There is also a biohazard HCS/WHMIS logo which utilizes the same symbol.

Un danger biologique ou biohazard est un organisme, ou une substance dérivée d'un organisme, qui représente une menace à la santé humaine. Ceci inclus les déchets médicaux, échantillons de micro-organisme, virus ou toxine (d'une source biologique) qui peut atteindre la santé humaine. Cela inclus aussi les substances nocives aux animaux. Le terme et son symbole sont en général utilisés en avertissement et signifient donc qu'il faut prendre certaines précautions pour manipuler ces substances.

Biohazard - amerykański zespół hardcoreowy z Nowego Jorku, powstały w 1988 r. Wpływ na ich muzykę wywierają takie nurty jak hip-hop, hardcore, muzyka Black Sabbath (przedstawili m.in. własną wersję utworu After Forever) i thrash metal. Biohazard jest jednym z najważnieszych przestawicieli muzyki metalowej pierwszej połowy lat 90.

I Biohazard, provenienti da Brooklyn (New York) ed operanti dal 1987 al 2006, sono stati uno dei più importanti gruppi rapcore statunitensi.Di origine hardcore punk, incorporavano nella loro musica elementi da quest'ultimo, oltre che da hip hop e metal.
