Bible refers to the canonical collections of religious writings or books of Judaism and Christianity. Books included as canon in the Bible vary according to these religious traditions and among their denominations. These variations reflect a range of histories, traditions and myths.The Jewish version of the Bible, the Tanakh, includes the books common to both the Christian and Jewish biblical canons. The Torah is traditionally considered by believers to be God's direct words and thus thought to be the most sacred part. Much of the Jewish religious law is derived from the Torah.

Als Bibel (auch Buch der Bücher) bezeichnen das Judentum und das Christentum jeweils eine eigene Sammlung von Schriften, die für sie das Wort Gottes enthalten und als Heilige Schrift Urkunden ihres Glaubens sind.Es handelt sich um verschiedene redaktionelle Zusammenstellungen von „Büchern“ (griechisch: biblia) aus dem Kulturraum der Levante und dem Vorderen Orient, die im Verlauf von etwa 1.200 Jahren entstanden sind und bis zum 2. Jahrhundert zuerst von Juden, dann auch von Christen kanonisiert wurden.Die hebräische Bibel, der Tanach, besteht aus den drei Hauptteilen Tora (Weisung), Nevi'im (Propheten) und Ketuvim (Schriften). Diese Bücher bilden in anderer Anordnung und geringfügig anderem Umfang als Altes Testament auch den ersten Hauptteil der christlichen Bibel, ergänzt durch das Neue Testament. In dieser Form ist die Bibel das am weitesten verbreitete und häufigsten publizierte schriftliche Werk der Welt.

Biblia, Pismo Święte (, biblion – księga, lm , biblia – księgi) – zbiór ksiąg, spisanych pierwotnie po hebrajsku, aramejsku i grecku, uznawanych przez żydów i chrześcijan za natchnione przez Boga. Biblia i poszczególne jej części posiadają odmienne znaczenie religijne dla różnych wyznań. Na chrześcijańską Biblię składają się Stary Testament i Nowy Testament. Biblia hebrajska – Tanach obejmuje część kanonu Starego Testamentu. Muzułmanie uważają, iż część Biblii (np. Księgi Mojżeszowe, Psalmy) powstała w wyniku boskiego objawienia, ale jej treść została zafałszowana.

La Bibbia (dal greco βιβλία, o biblìa, che significa libri) è il libro sacro della religione ebraica e di quella cristiana.È detta anche Sacre Scritture o Parola di Dio, per sottolineare l'ispirazione divina sotto la quale si ritiene sia stata scritta. È formata da libri differenti per origine, genere e composizione, scritti in un lasso di tempo abbastanza ampio, preceduti da una tradizione orale più o meno lunga. Considerando anche il processo di codificazione del canone biblico, complessivamente i testi biblici sono stati composti in più di un millennio.
