Beneficio
Beneficio is a ecovillage in the Alpujarra mountains in Spain. It is within communally-owned land in a river valley. Its aspiration is for an open-minded and ecological lifestyle in balance with nature. Decisions are made on a consensus-basis with no clear organizational structure. Within the community, alcohol consumption is prohibited.

Beneficio económico
El beneficio económico es la riqueza que obtiene el actor de un proceso económico. Se calcula como los ingresos totales menos los costes totales de producción.
En el caso más común es la diferencia entre el valor que tienen los bienes resultado del proceso productivo (productos) y los que se emplearon en el mismo (insumos).
El beneficio económico es por tanto un indicador de la creación de riqueza. Si es positivo el valor de los bienes creados será superior al de los utilizados, y por tanto se estará creando riqueza. Si es negativo el valor de los productos será inferior al de los insumos, y por tanto se estará destruyendo riqueza, en este caso se denomina pérdida.
