El tejón europeo o eurasiático (Meles meles) es un mustélido nativo del Viejo Mundo, de tamaño medio, que puede llegar a pesar unos 15 kg, con cabeza alargada y triangular, con el cuerpo también alargado de hasta 90 cm de longitud de los que 15 a 20 cm corresponden a la cola.
