Autoridad
Autoridad es lo que desde el punto de vista del Estado, puede ser considerado como la fuerza ejercida por una persona legitimada por una institución, conforme a unas funciones que le son generalmente reconocidas. En este sentido cuando una persona tiene autoridad se deduce que tiene aptitud para mandar (o imponer su punto de vista o hacerse respetar). Así, cuando el individuo tiene «la» autoridad o si se quiere ésta, se está autorizada a actuar, a ejercer un determinado poder. En este ámbito, autoridad está ligada a potestad.
