Alternative use: the Aten asteroids, named after 2062 Aten

Aten (also Aton, Egyptian ) is the disk of the sun in ancient Egyptian mythology, and originally an aspect of Ra. The deified Aten is the focus of the  monolatristic, henotheistic, or  monotheistic religion of Atenism established by Amenhotep IV, who later took the name Akhenaten in worship in recognition of Aten. In his poem "Great Hymn to the Aten", Akhenaten praises Aten as the creator, and giver of life. Some scholars have speculated that Psalm 104 may have been influenced by this hymn.

Aton war eine altägyptische Gottheit, die in ihrer Erscheinung als Sonnenscheibe verehrt wurde. Unter der Herrschaft des Königs (Pharao) Echnaton stieg Aton in seiner Funktion als Sonnengott zum obersten göttlichen Wesen als Weiterentwicklung des Re auf. Die bisherigen Gottheiten büßten damit zunächst an Bedeutung ein, existierten aber noch in untergeordneten Rollen weiter (Monolatrie).

Die Aton GmbH (Eigenschreibweise ATON GmbH) ist ein deutsches Unternehmen mit Sitz in Fulda. Gründer ist Lutz Helmig, ehemaliger Hauptgesellschafter und Gründer der Helios-Kliniken.

Les astéroïdes Aten sont un groupe d'astéroïdes, nommés d'après (2062) Aten, le premier membre découvert. Ils possèdent un demi-grand axe de moins d'une unité astronomique.

Aton est un dieu solaire de l'Égypte antique. Il est surtout connu comme un dieu éphémère de la mythologie égyptienne du Nouvel Empire (v. -1353 à -1337). Cependant son origine est bien plus ancienne en tant que principe visible du dieu Atoum-Rê comme nous le décrivent les Textes des pyramides de la fin de l'Ancien Empire.

Aton (także Aten - w języku egipskim ỉtn oznacza tarczę słoneczną) - bóg egipski. Początkowo, w III tysiącleciu p.n.e. był jednym z wielu bogów wyznawanych w Egipcie. Aton był tarczą słoneczną - uważany wówczas za emanację boga Re. W Opowieści o Sinuhe jest mowa o królu Amenemhacie I, który po śmierci został zabrany do nieba i połączył się z Atonem. Za czasów królowej Hatszepsut Aton określany był już jako Stwórca, który stworzył wszelką istotę, który ukształtował ziemię, który dopełnił jej stworzenia.
