Assassination is the murder of an individual; usually a political or famous figure. An added distinction between assassination and other forms of killing is that an assassin usually has an ideological or political motivation, though many assassins (especially those who are not part of an organised movement) also show elements of insanity. Other motivations may be money (as in the case of a contract killing), revenge, or as a military operation.

Way of the Tiger is the name of a series of adventure gamebooks by Mark Smith & Jamie Thomson set on the world of Orb. The reader takes the part of a young ninja, Avenger on his quest to avenge his foster father and recover the Scrolls of Kettsuin. Later books present fresh challenges for Avenger to overcome. Compared to other gamebooks such as those in the Fighting Fantasy series, Way of the Tiger provided a more developed storyline and atmosphere, as well as three-dimensional characters.

Assassin (ang. morderca) to niemiecka grupa muzyczna wykonująca thrash metal. Powstała 1983 roku w Düsseldorfie, grupę rozwiązano w 1989 roku. Grupa ponownie wznowiła działalność w 2002 roku realizując kolejno koncertowy album pt. The Assassin... Live Forever (2003 rok) oraz pierwszy od siedemnastu lat album studyjny zatytułowany The Club wydany w 2005 roku.

Un attentato è l'atto, diretto contro un avversario chiaramente individuato, con cui si mira a eliminare l'avversario o la sua rete di relazioni e interessi; in molti casi ciò avviene secondo una precisa strategia terroristica, di cui l'attentato è il momento culminante. È quindi l'azione con cui un gruppo, un singolo, un movimento, uno Stato terrorista cerca di intimidire, colpire, danneggiare la popolazione o un singolo o beni che considera nemici o ingiusti e lo fa con modalità proprie del terrorismo, non quindi con altre forme di violenza come la guerra aperta o guerreggiata.
