For the Japanese racing team known as the ARTA Project, see Autobacs Racing Team Aguri. ARTA (Auckland Regional Transport Authority) is the public transport organization of Auckland, New Zealand. It was established in 2004 to help find and fund solutions to the traffic challenges facing the rapidly growing Auckland region. ARTA is under the umbrella of the Auckland Regional Council (ARC), and about half of the ARC's rates go to fund public transport via ARTA. ARTA co-ordinates public transport under the MAXX brand.

Arta (Greek: Άρτα) is a city with a rich history in north-western Greece, capital of the Arta Prefecture which is part of the Epirus province. The city was known in the ancient times as Amvrakia (Greek: Αμβρακία). Arta is famous for its old bridge located over the Arachthos river, situated west of downtown. Arta is also known for its ancient sites from the era of Pyrrhus of Epirus and its 13th century old castle, one of the best preserved in Greece. Arta's rich Byzantine history can be also traced today via its many Byzantine churches; perhaps best known is the church of the Panayía Parigorítissa (Mother of God the Swiftly Consoling), built about 1290 by Despot Nikephoros. The city is the seat of the Technological Educational Institute of Epirus.

Arta este în esenţă cea mai profundă expresie a creativităţii umane. Pe cât de dificil de definit, pe atât de dificil de evaluat, având în vedere faptul că fiecare artist îşi alege singur regulile şi parametrii de lucru, se poate spune totuşi că arta este rezultatul alegerii unui mediu, a unui set de reguli pentru folosirea acestui mediu şi a unui set de valori ce determină ce anume merită a fi exprimat prin acel mediu pentru a induce un sentiment, o idee, o senzaţie sau o trăire în modul cel mai eficient posibil pentru acel mediu. Prin modul său de manifestare, arta poate fi considerată şi ca o formă de cunoaştere (cunoaşterea artistică).
