Anthropomorphism
Anthropomorphism is the attribution of uniquely
human characteristics and qualities to nonhuman beings, inanimate objects, or natural or supernatural phenomena.
Animals, forces of
nature, and unseen or unknown sources of chance are frequent subjects of anthropomorphous. The term is derived from two
Greek words, ἄνθρωπος (anthrōpos), meaning human, and μορφή (morphē), meaning shape or form. The suffix '-ism' originates from the
morpheme -ισμός or -ισμα in the Greek language.

Antropomorfizm – termin oznaczający nadawanie cech ludzkich innym (nie będącymi
ludźmi) istotom i zjawiskom. Często odnosi się do wyobrażania
bogów na obraz i podobieństwo człowieka a także do przypisywania przyrodzie żywej lub martwej, ludzkich cech i motywów postępowania.Jest formą
personifikacji w przypadku przypisywania ludzkich cech przedmiotom nieożywionym, np.
mitologia grecka stanowi zbiór wierzeń o charakterze antropomorficznym.
Mitologia egipska stanowi niezrównoważony antropomorfizm - antropozoomorfizm, gdyż wizerunki bogów stanowią połączenie postaci ludzkiej ze zwierzęciem.
