Anthracite
Anthracite (Greek aνθρακίτης (anthrakítes), "coal-like," from άνθραξ (ánthrax), coal) is a hard, compact variety of mineral coal that has a high luster. It has the highest carbon count, the fewest impurities, and the highest calorific content of all types of coals, which also include bituminous coal and lignite.

Anthracite
Un Anthracite (Du grec anthrax, Άνθραξ, charbon) est une roche sédimentaire d'origine organique. C'est une variété de charbon grise, noirâtre et brillante extraite des mines. Il contient 92 à 95% de carbone, ce qui en fait un des charbons de plus haute qualité. A ce titre, il a été exploité en priorité au cours des et siècles (cf. Pic de Hubbert appliqué au charbon).

Antracit
Antracit är en typ av bergarten och det fossila bränslet kol. Antracit är hårt och har en hög kolhalt, över 91 procent. Bergarten bildas av stenkol som utsätts för högt tryck och hög temperatur. Den är det näst sista stadiet i inkolningskedjan från torv till grafit. Då antracit inte innehåller mer än mycket små mängder bitumen så brinner det med en nästan osynlig låga. Antracite
O antracite, ou o antracito, é uma variedade compacta e dura do mineral carvão que possui elevado lustre. Difere do carvão betuminoso por conter pouco ou nenhum betume, o que faz com que arda com uma chama quase invisível. Os espécimes mais puros são compostos quase inteiramente por carbono.
O antracito é criado por metamorfismo e está associado à rochas metamórficas, da mesma forma que o carvão betuminoso está associado à rochas sedimentares. No leste dos Estados Unidos, as camadas de carvão betuminoso que são mineradas à superfície no planalto de Allengheny (sedimentar) do Kentucky e da Virgínia Ocidental são as mesmas que são mineradas em profundidade nas dobras (metamórficas) dos montes Apalaches, na Pensilvânia. o carvão e muito bom por que ele e bomÁ Ele foi primeiro experimentalmente queimado como combustível em 11 de fevereiro de 1808 por Judge Jeese Fell em Wilkes-Barre, Pensilvânia em uma grelha em uma fogueira.
