Mandelstein
Mandelstein (Amygdaloid) ist eine Strukturform verschiedener vulkanischer Gesteine, deren ursprüngliche Hohlräume (Blasenräume) gänzlich oder doch zum Teil durch später gebildete Mineralien (Quarz, Opal, Kalkspat, Zeolithe, auch Grünerde, allein oder die ausfüllenden Mineralien gegen das Gestein abgrenzend) ausgefüllt sind.
