Fish migration
Many types of fish migrate on a regular basis, on time scales ranging from daily to annually or longer, and over distances ranging from a few metres to thousands of kilometres. Fish usually migrate because of diet or reproductive needs, although in some cases the reason for migration remains unknown.

Wanderfisch
Wanderfische werden auch diadrome Fische genannt; es sind Fische, die zum Laichen ihre Gewässer wechseln. Fische, die ihr Leben lang im selben Gewässer bleiben, werden demgegenüber als stationär bezeichnet.

Fiskvandring
Många fiskar vandrar regelbundet. Tidsintervallet kan variera från dagligen till årligen. Avstånden kan variera från några meter till tusentals kilometer. Orsaken till vandringen är vanligen fortplantning men i en del fall är orsaken till vandringen okänd.
