Ambiental Technical Solutions Ltd was founded in 1997[1] as a partnership of researchers in the field of Digital Terrain Modelling and Geographical Information Systems (GIS) at Cambridge University, England. Its involvement in flood modelling has attracted great media interest following flood events such as Hurricane Katrina in 2005 and the widespread flooding across the UK in 2007.
