Airmail (or air mail) is mail that is transported by aircraft. It typically arrives more quickly than surface mail, and usually costs more to send. Airmail may be the only option for sending mail to some destinations, such as overseas, if the mail cannot wait the time it would take to arrive by ship, sometimes weeks.

Flugpost, amtlich Luftpost, ist die Beförderung von Postsendungen per Luftfracht oder Brieftauben. Die Flugpost erfolgte früher meist nur gegen eine Entrichtung erhöhter Postgebühren, die manchmal durch Freimachung mit besonderen Luftpostwertzeichen eingezogen wurden. Poczta Lotnicza (ang. Air Mail) - poczta przetransportowana samolotem. Przeważnie dochodzi o wiele szybciej od poczty naziemnej i jego nadanie jest droższe. Poczta lotnicza może być jedynym wyjściem w przypadku niektórych przypadkach, zwłaszcza jeśli chodzi o wyspy i inne kontynenty. Transport takiego listu statkiem trwałby niekiedy tygodnie.

Flygpost innebär att post skickas med flygplan, helikopter eller luftskepp. Brev som skickas med flygpost kallas också aerogram. Att skicka flygpost är oftast dyrare än att skicka post med fordon som bil, båt och tåg, men kommer oftast fram fortare och används främst på längre sträckor.
