Dans le système éducatif français, on distingue deux types de concours d'agrégation, en abrégé agrégation :un concours dont les origines remontent à la fin du , le concours d'agrégation devenu concours d'agrégation de l'enseignement du second degré, destiné à recruter les professeurs agrégés ;un concours plus récent et limité à quelques disciplines seulement : le concours d'agrégation de l'enseignement supérieur, destiné à recruter des professeurs des universités.
