acupressure

Acupressure (a portmanteau of "acupuncture" and "pressure") is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) technique based on the same ideas as acupuncture. Acupressure involves placing physical pressure by hand, elbow, or with the aid of various devices on different acupuncture points on the surface of the body. Traditional Chinese Medicine does not usually operate within a scientific paradigm but some practitioners make efforts to bring practices into an evidence-based medicine framework. There is no scientific consensus over whether or not evidence supports the efficacy of acupressure beyond a placebo. Reviews of existing clinical trials have been conducted by the Cochrane Collaboration and Bandolier according to the protocols of evidence-based medicine; for most conditions they have concluded a lack of effectiveness or lack of well-conducted clinical trials.

Die Akupressur (von lateinisch acus = Nadel und premere = drücken), japanisch Shiatsu (指圧), ist eine Heilmethode, die insbesondere in der Traditionellen Chinesischen Medizin (TCM) und japanischen Medizin angewendet wird. Wörtlich übersetzt bedeutet Shiatsu so viel wie "Fingerdruck". Es werden wie bei der Akupunktur Meridiane und deren Tsubo, also bestimmte Druckpunkte ausgenutzt. Im Gegensatz dazu wird beim Shiatsu der ganze Körper eingesetzt. Die westliche Schulmedizin bestreitet die Existenz von Meridianen und Tsubos, u. a. da ihre Existenz nicht nachgewiesen ist. Es wird angenommen, dass die Akupressur die Vorläuferin der Akupunktur war.

Akupresura - tradycyjna metoda leczenia wywodząca się z chińskiej medycyny naturalnej. Metoda ta znana była w  Chinach już kilka tysięcy lat temu. Polega ona na dotykaniu, głaskaniu, uciskaniu lub opukiwaniu określonych miejsc na ciele człowieka. Współczesne badania medyczne wskazują, że jej skuteczność nie wykracza ponad placebo, a pacjenci odczuwają przypływ energii, gdyż masowanie punktów rozluźnia ciało i likwiduje ucisk w różnych częściach ciała.

按摩（あんま）とは、なでる、押す、揉む、叩くなどの手技を用い、生体の持つ恒常性維持機能を反応させて健康を増進させる手技療法である。按摩の按とは「押さえる」という意味であり、摩とは「なでる」という意味である。また、江戸時代から、按摩の施術を職業とする人のことを「按摩」または「あんまさん」と呼ぶが、視覚障害者の間では、これを盲人に対する蔑称と受け取る向きもあり、あまり使わない方がよいことばになっている。

La acupresión es una técnica de medicina tradicional china basada en las mismas ideas que la acupuntura. Consiste en hacer presión con las manos, codos, o con la ayuda de varios dispositivos, sobre diferentes puntos de presión en la superficie del cuerpo humano (que puede estar bastante distante del síntoma, relacionado por lo que se llama el sistema de meridianos) para traer alivio a través de un mayor balance y circulación de energías en el cuerpo (qi).
