Abstract strategy game
An abstract strategy game is a strategy game that aims to minimize luck and does not have a theme. Almost all abstract strategy games will conform to the strictest definition of: a board, card, or tile game in which there is no hidden information, no non-deterministic elements (such as shuffled cards or dice rolls), and (usually) two players or teams take a finite number of alternating turns.

Jeu de stratégie combinatoire abstrait
On appelle jeu de stratégie combinatoire abstrait un jeu, généralement un jeu de société :
- opposant deux joueurs ou deux équipes (ou seul contre un ordinateur « intelligent ») ;
- dans lequel les joueurs ou équipes jouent à tour de rôle ;
- dont tous les éléments sont connus (jeu à information complète) ;
- où le hasard n'intervient pas pendant le déroulement du jeu.

アブストラクトゲーム
アブストラクトゲーム (Abstract Games) とは、ゲームの分類の1つ。
広義には、名前通り抽象的（アブストラクト）で、元となった現実の出来事など（テーマ）とゲームの内容とが余り関係のないものになっているゲーム、あるいは具体的なテーマが全く存在しないゲームを指す。ただし、トランプゲームやカードゲームは含まれない。

Juego abstracto
Los juegos abstractos son aquellos que tienen poco o nada de tema o, si lo tienen, aquellos que podrían seguir siendo jugados sin tenerlo. Con tema se refiere a que simulen algún aspecto de la realidad (economía, guerra, etc.) En consecuencia, pueden jugarse empleando como material de juego elementos muy sencillos: un tablero, fichas, dados, etcétera.
