Abdi is a male given name.Abdi is a Muslim name, particularly common in Somalia. It is an altered version of the Arabic "Abdul", and is usually followed by one of the 99 names of Allah, signifying "servant of God". In long format it could be written as Abdi-Rahman, Abdi-Nasir, Abdi-Nuur, Abdi-Karim etc. Abdi-Nuur for example would mean the servant of light.
