ABATE State Motorcyclist's Rights Organizations (abbreviated SMRO) exist in the
United States, where they are often called ABATE. They are best known for their opposition to mandatory
motorcycle helmet laws. They advocate other means for improving
motorcycle safety such as insisting that motorcyclists have just as many rights to the road as cars.
