A fortiori
A fortiori (vanuit het sterkere argument) is een argumentatievorm waarbij een stelling wordt verdedigd door te vertrekken van een bepaalde (aangenomen) stelling, en er dan op te wijzen dat er nog sterkere argumenten zijn om de tweede stelling dan zeker aan te nemen.
Voorbeeld: "Een gemotiveerde student slaagt in zijn examens. Zeker als hij zoveel talent heeft als jij."
